Cattail Lane: About

Our European Maine Coons

Anya (Silver Torbi) and Dimitri (Black Smoke)

Named after the main characters in one of my childhood favorite movies Anastasia. Anya and Dimitri have grown custom to their life in Tennessee. They often spend time napping in their outdoor catio, running up, down, and around the house (zoomies, as we call it), or (most commonly) sleeping in one of our laps. They are so gentle, and follow us around like dogs, begging for pets along the way. Both Anya and Dimitri have been screened for genetic diseases, including those that commonly affect Maine coons. We are happy to say that they are all clear! Check the "Previous Litters" and "Gallery" page for pictures of past litters :)

Cattail Lane: Welcome

Our Story

Pictured from left to right: Anya (maine coon), Patch (rescue), Jynx (rescue)

We rescued Patch, a half Maine coon, 7 years ago (center of the picture). He is so even-tempered and loves a good belly rub, so we decided to do some research on the breed. We found that Maine coons are known for being docile, gentle cats, despite their size, and they make wonderful pets because of that! Recently, we got two Maine coons, one from Poland, and one from Russia (Anya, pictured on the far left) to ensure the continuity of the breed and, most importantly, that reputable breeders were caring for our kittens!
